We were privileged to have Mr. Dinesh Kumar gracing the Annual Senior Athletic Meet 2019 as the Chief Guest.
Mr. Dinesh Kumar, an Indian professional Kabaddi player who during his illustrious career has brought laurels to the country through his focus and dedication. He was the Captain of the Indian national kabaddi team that won Asiad gold medals in 2002 and 2006. In 2010, the Government of India conferred the Arjuna Award upon him for his achievements in the sport.
The Chief Guest, during his address to the students, exhorted them to respect their elders, focus not only on academics but on all-round personality development as well. He also elucidated on the importance of sports in our lives which while making us competitive, motivates us to imbibe a sense of fair play and sportsmanship. The sports day witnessed keen participation by all the houses wherein each house put their best foot forward. The participants were zealously cheered by their house members to pep up their morale. The goalposts were creatively decorated to make the ambience merry. The competition ended with Shanti house being adjudged the winner with razor thin margin. The day culminated with the prize distribution ceremony bringing down the curtains on an exciting day.

Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil, Prince of Rajpipla, Gujarat, Brand Consultant AHF India, REDx speaker and Founder of Lakshya trust was present for a talk session on LGBTQI+ community hosted by Breaking Barriers Team of our school on 22 November 2019 .
He is the only Indian who has been on the Oprah Winfrey show thrice till now. Prince Manvendra gave a highly inspiring speech applauding the school’s work and offering to collaborate with us to work together for the benefit of community where our school students can conduct vocational training and English speaking sessions for them. He patiently answered queries of students about how they can play an important role in breaking stereotypes in older generation.

Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar organised their annual leadership summit, Lead On! 2019, on 22nd October in their school premises. The heads of the student councils of over 40 schools around New Delhi gathered here to participate in activities that were aimed to inculcate qualities of leadership in them, including keynote speeches from two distinct speakers- Mr Salman Khurshid and Mr Mohit Chauhan.
The keynote speeches were mediated by the ace stand-up comedian, Papa CJ, who effortlessly gave the event a spark in a way that no one else could have with his scintillating wit, which carried on among the students long after the end of the event.

The heads of the student councils of over 40 schools around New Delhi gathered here to participate in activities that were aimed to inculcate qualities of leadership in them.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr Salman Khurshid, the Indian politician, designated senior advocate, eminent author and a law teacher as an eminent guest speaker .
In Mr Khurshid’s speech, he spoke about his personal experiences with ordinary people like ourselves, the nepotism in the political structure of India, the political parties in India, and also spoke about leadership, saying “A leader is a person who pushes a group forward and solely is not on the front page. A leader is a person who understands others and respect their ideas.” The speech was followed by a Q&A session in which the children got an opportunity to interact with Mr Khurshid and ask him their own queries.

The School Cabinet hosted its annual leadership summit, Lead On! 2019, on 22nd October in their school premises. The heads of the student councils of over 40 schools around New Delhi gathered to participate in activities that were aimed to inculcate qualities of leadership in them.
Mr Mohit Chauhan, the Indian playback singer, most known for his work for Bollywood and Tollywood movies graced the occasion as a guest speaker at the event.
In an interactive session with the students,he spoke about his past and personal life, his music career, the importance of creativity and it’s indirect impact on leadership, the current music industry and the changes in it since the 70’s, and the importance of classical and folk music over the just the lucrative, ‘filmy’ songs that we are accustomed to listening. He ended his session with short but beautiful and melodious performances of his famous songs ‘Tum Se Hi’ and ‘Nadaan Parindey’.
