Annual cultural event hosted by Team Saksham in collaboration with Special Olympics Bharat.
Disha is an annual event organised by Team Saksham of our school in collaboration with Special Olympics Bharat. Disha 4.0 was a three day event that took place from the 24 June -26 June 2021. The heartwarming response it has received over the years has encouraged the team to host it every year.
More than 150 people from different countries including Pakistan and Canada attended the event live on Google Meet and established emotional bonds . The huge appreciation from the audience left the team headed by Tanish Choudhary and Saburi Chopra and consisting of Saira, Bavleen, Tishya, Vrinda, Shradha, Sabhya, Dhruv, Angad and Sakina under the great stewardship of Ms.Uma Chopra in great awe.The event consisted of a total of 6 competitionsand included things like growing your own plant, craft, photography, singing, dancing and painting. There was a phenomenal panel of judges who had a hard time choosing winners from the extremely amazing and mesmerizing 400+ entries. The different ways through which the participants expressed their abilities and talents were so inspiring and outstanding that the audience was left astonished.
Disha 4.0 was truly another successful addition to its past glory and it yet again achieved its purpose of leaving an impact on the lives of special children and their families by giving them a platform to showcase their brilliance in front of a large audience who were left excited for Disha 5.0 in the year 2022.

Dear Tanish and Saburi,
I am writing this letter to appreciate and acknowledge the diligent effort that you all have put in organizing the wonderful program.
Heartiest congratulations on conducting the 4th edition of Disha held on 24th,25th and 26th June 2021. All the participants did their best and all presentations were superb and fantastic. The situation of the pandemic for the last one and a half year has confined everyone at home and this program was a fresh breeze of breath and everyone felt connected to each other. The joys and smiles on the faces of all Differently Abled athletes brought immense delight for the families. You have made a difference through your dedication and support for the program within the country and on international forums. Your ideas, input and enthusiasm were most helpful and have assisted us in making valuable improvements in our program too. Through this program you all have proved that our athletes are no less and can reach out for the stars if they are guided in the right direction.
We all appreciate your untiring efforts for arranging such a wonderful program.
We will be surely looking forward to the upcoming Disha 5.0 very soon.
Thanking you once again for including our athletes in these sessions and giving them a chance to showcase their talent on this platform. This has raised their confidence and they feel elevated.
