Gurpurab Celebrated in TIS

In accordance with the TIS tradition of celebrating each festival and trying to imbibe the inner meaning behind each, Gurpurab has always been celebrated
with fervour in the school. Students practice the Gurbani and Mul Mantra well in advance and on the day they are seen going around every part of the school singing these hymns and spreading the immortal message of Guru Nanak Dev. After two long years, on 7 November 2022, the corridors once more resounded with this chorus of enthusiastic young voices. Every class was shown a video with an anecdote from the life of the Guru and this was followed by a discussion of the values encapsulated in it. This celebration concluded on a sweet note, with ‘kadaprasad’ being distributed to each and every teacher, student and support staff. This delicious halwa is generously contributed by the parents and is much appreciated by all !
