Rethink, Reuse (Best Out of Waste) – An Intra Class Competition for Class II (April 2025)

The Intra-Class Competition ‘Rethink, Reuse’ (Best out of Waste) for Class II was held on Friday, 25 April 2025. The event encouraged students to think creatively and promote environmental awareness by transforming waste materials into useful items. Using old newspapers, plastic bottles, cardboard, and more, students crafted impressive models like soft drink dispensers, pen stands, trash cans, organisers, piggy banks, and even tools to practise addition. The competition highlighted their imagination, and skills while reinforcing the value of recycling and reusing in everyday life. Little Masterchefs (Flameless Cooking) – An Intra Class Competition for Class I (April 2025)

On 25 April 2025, our young culinary stars of Class I participated in the ‘Little Chefs’ (Flameless Cooking) Intra-Class Competition based on the exciting themes ‘A Sweet Delight’ and ‘Sandwich Surprise.’ Dressed in aprons and chef caps, students brought creativity to the table with dishes like Chocolate Ladoo, Brownie Bites, Bread Sushi Roll, Modak, Oreo Shots, Rainbow Custard Pudding, Rice Pepper Summer Rolls, Bread Doughnut, and Monster Sandwich. With a focus on hygiene, innovation, and presentation, the event was a flavourful celebration of imagination and confidence. International Dance Day: A Tribute to Indian Classical Arts

On the occasion of International Dance Day, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, hosted a SPIC MACAY event celebrating Indian classical arts. The highlight was a captivating Odissi performance by Padma Shri Guru Geeta Mahalik, accompanied by renowned artists Sri Prasanta Behera, Sri Prasant Mangaraj, and Sri Nikhil Kumar Behera. The event began with a lamp- lighting and shloka, followed by mesmerizing performances and student interaction with the artists. The celebration fostered appreciation for India’s cultural heritage and left a lasting impact on all present.

Prismatic 2025: Tagore International School Celebrates Inclusivity and Diversity

Tagore International School hosted Prismatic 2025 – The Inclusivity Fest on 24–25 April, a dynamic two-day celebration promoting diversity, empathy, and empowerment. The event honoured individuals with intellectual and physical challenges through inclusive performances and dialogue. Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma, an Indian Politician and a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party inaugurated the event and stressed on the importance of an inclusive society. Ms. Veditha Reddy (IAS). Director of Education and Sports for the Government of Delhi, graced the event as the Chief Guest on 25th April and emphasized the inclusive policy, equitable education, and community-driven change. The fest featured storytelling, mime, nukkad natak, and a Bollywood dance. Initiatives like Project Saksham and the international talent platform DISHA spotlighted student leadership. Esteemed guests like Dr. Sanjay Chaturvedi, Deputy Director of Education, Ms . Aarushi Gambhir,  Ms. Seema Roy Chuwdhary, and ARC founders Mr. Anit Gupta and Ms. Ritu Malhotra added valuable insight. The event concluded with a heartwarming video tribute and renewed commitment to fostering inclusive spaces in education.

Earth Day

On 22 April 2025, students of Classes I to V celebrated Earth Day by enthusiastically participating in eco-friendly activities. Class I led a cleanliness drive, spreading awareness about hygiene. Class II designed and proudly wore Earth Day badges. Class III showcased creativity by making pen stands from upcycled plastic bottles. Class IV built toys using recycled materials, promoting sustainable play. Meanwhile, Class V crafted beautiful terrariums, highlighting the importance of green spaces. The celebration inspired responsibility and love for the planet in every young heart. With renewed determination, they pledged to continue their efforts to live sustainably and to inspire others to join them in caring for our planet, not just on Earth Day, but every day.Also, the school’s Social Science Department and Eco Club celebrated Earth Day with enthusiasm. Students from Classes VI to XII participated in meaningful activities promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. Highlights included upcycled utility bags, creative projects from recycled materials, an SDG expert session, and a SDG awareness walk. The Eco Club showcased awareness videos and a plastic waste model display. Through these initiatives, Tagoreans embodied the spirit of ‘I AM THE CHANGE THAT I WISH TO SEE,’ fostering a sense of responsibility towards the planet.

World Heritage Day

On 16 April 2025, on the occasion of World Heritage Day, students of Classes III to V enjoyed a day filled with diverse and meaningful activities. Class III and IV enjoyed a virtual tour of India’s iconic heritage sites and monuments. They created collages with pictures of monuments in Delhi that they have visited. This was followed by an engaging discussion on the importance of preserving these cultural treasures. Learners of Class V created interesting Heritage Cards in pairs on a chosen UNESCO World Heritage Site. The celebration concluded with a fun and interactive quiz, reinforcing their learning in an exciting way.

Inter House Think Tank(VI-VIII)

Brilliant pitches and bold ideas, the spark of innovation lit up the stage on 15 April 2025, when the junior competition Think Tank was held. With a mission to sell the Next Big Thing™, houses unveiled business ventures that balanced creativity with strategy and feasibility. From eco-chic solutions like ClosetCupid to educational must-haves like EduShaala, each team entered the tank with a unique idea. With engaging presentations and clever responses, the competition mimicked a business reality show. Whether they secured the ‘funding’ or not, one thing was clear: Think Tank left audiences inspired, entertained, and maybe even plotting their own million-dollar idea. Celebrating Chinese Language Day at the Embassy of China

On 21 April 2025, four students from the school had the unique opportunity to participate in the Chinese Language Day Celebrations held at the Embassy of China. The event aimed to promote awareness and appreciation of the rich heritage of the Chinese language and culture. The students – Soneha, Aarvi Gupta, Adya Maheshwari, and Tvisha Mehta, showcased their remarkable calligraphy skills during the event. Their dedication and artistry were deeply appreciated by the attendees and reflected the school’s commitment to promoting cross-cultural learning. The students were accompanied by their teacher, Ms. Sonia Bhatia.

A Transformative Session by Capt (Dr.) Sunaina Singh

The school hosted an insightful session for Classes XI and XII, led by Capt (Dr.) Sunaina Singh, focusing on emotional intelligence, mindset development, and authentic leadership. Through powerful stories, practical guidance, and heartfelt reflections, she inspired participants to embrace self-awareness, resilience, and purpose. Drawing from her Army experience, Dr. Sunaina emphasized discipline, gratitude, and service over material success. She broke down emotional intelligence into relatable, actionable components and encouraged students to lead with authenticity and empathy. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, leaving students enriched and empowered to navigate life with clarity, strength, and compassion.

Walking Through Time: Exploring Delhi’s Heritage

Ms. Swati Shukla, PGT History, participated in a unique workshop, Walking Through Time, held on 17 April 2025. The session delved into Delhi’s built heritage through insightful talks by heritage experts Saumya Liddle, Anirudh Kanisetti, and Dr. Narayani Gupta. The workshop encouraged teachers to explore history through local narratives, monuments, and cultural memory. This experience would help to foster deeper student engagement and ownership of heritage.
