Ninaad – Tagore International, Vasant Vihar Stretches Out A Helping Hand

Flawless Flaws, is  a student-led campaign, which along with Team Awaam (the school’s theatre society) works towards the welfare of acid attack survivors. Reaching out an empathetic hand, the team helps with their medical expenses, post-operative care, and skill development. In order to raise funds for this worthy cause, the school organized Ninaad, an annual cultural event celebrating the spirit of inclusion. The 5th successful edition of this show was held in April 2023, where students, teachers and parents all came together to perform, enjoy, applaud and raise funds. Donor passes were sold in huge numbers.  The success of this  vibrant and colourful cultural fiesta was a great boost to all the campaign members and while our students learn the joy of giving and of compassion; the funds raised will certainly bring a smile to the faces of the acid attack survivors.

The event commenced with a presentation on the Flawless Flaws campaign by Saivansh Kwatra, President and Jesnoor Kaur, Vice President.  Members of Team Awaam – Saira Bhateja, Vrinda Arora, Tishya Chandok, Gunamay Rakhyani and Angad Harmohan Singh – were some of the other event planners.

The school also launched ‘Outlive Yourself’ – a completely new social outreach programme spreading awareness about organ donation. We were honoured by the presence of Dr. Krishan Kumar, Director of NOTTO (National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation) and Mr. Mukul Verma, Director of Acid Survivors Foundation India. NOTTO has tagged the school on its social media profile saying –  Dr. Krishan Kumar launched Project ‘Outlive Yourself’ in collaboration with Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar. The project targets to sensitize over 20,000 individuals in offices, hospitals, malls & public spaces on organ donation.#OrganDonation #PledgeTodayStayForever #GiftofLife #AmritMahotsav
