Online Session on “Careers after Commerce and Humanities”

The first biggest decision in life, after one finishes his Class 10 board exam, is which stream to choose, as this could have a huge impact on one’s career. Students often tend to choose streams based on their aptitude for particular subjects, but are unclear as to what lies beyond that.
To clear this confusion, an online session on “Careers after Commerce and Humanities” was organized for the students pursuing Commerce and Humanities in classes XI and XII, on 23 July 2021. The resource persons were Mr. Bineet Binod and Mr. Sumer Broota from Pratham. Mr. Bineet Binod highlighted the various career paths the students could opt for, with their current subject choices. Whether it were Management, Chartered Accountancy or Actuarial Science for commerce students or it were careers after Geography, Political Science, and Sociology for Humanities students, it was evident from
the session that opportunities are available in plenty for each one. While Mr. Binod discussed careers to pursue in India, Mr. Sumer Broota opened up a wide array of opportunities and lucrative career avenues abroad. It was an engaging webinar, which provided our students with a lot to ponder over.
