Primary Students Revel in their Intra-class Competitions

During the month of July 2022, students of Classes I to V engaged in a bit of healthy rivalry and showed off their talents in some intraclass competitions. Class I used clay to create colourful gardens including trees, wings,  flowers etc. The theme for Class II was Aquagami, and the students rose to the challenge by combining the idea of water with origami, showing their skill and originality.  Children of Class III held the audience mesmerised as they presented various colourful and rhythmic folk dances of India. A story telling competition with a twist – interweaving two different tales was  the challenge for Class IV. This gave them an opportunity to present their new story with a modern touch, convey social messages, present original ideas and even focus on values. The students of Class V had to create and recite a nonsense poem about an absurd day in their lives, which they did with enthusiasm and a great sense of humour, wearing absurd props to add to the impact. Bringing out the  creative and innovative aspects of every child, stimulating them to think deeply and learn from each other while enjoying these fun filled  competitions made it all a valuable learning experience.
