Team Awaam from our school proudly represented us in Swatantra Manch: Desh Ke Naam at the Prime Minister’s Museum, staging a powerful play on Bhagat Singh’s life. Competing among ten selected schools, our talented team of fifteen members from Classes VIII–XII delivered a remarkable performance, securing the Second Position and bringing glory to the school.
The school organised a Mock Lok Sabha session on 12 August ,2025 for students of Classes XI and XII Humanities, centred on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) bill. The simulation offered a practical understanding of parliamentary proceedings while encouraging analytical thinking, eloquent expression and collaborative leadership. Students explored the diverse perspectives and intricacies surrounding the UCC, gaining insights into the balance between legal uniformity and cultural diversity. The engaging exercise reinforced the significance of respectful discussion, inclusivity and informed decision-making in shaping the nation’s legislative framework.
The Social Science Department commemorated the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings with a series of activities designed to promote peace and awareness. Class IX students presented a talk on conflict resolution, while a group song and a ribbon dance by junior and middle school students echoed the spirit of harmony. Col Anant Gupta from the Mission Olympic Wing DCOAS (IS&C), IHQ of MoD (Army), addressed Classes VIII and IX, offering real-life insights into war, comradeship and national service. The event encouraged students to reflect deeply on history and the importance of lasting peace.
In July, the SHIN programme for Class V continued to build on previous learning with new, stimulating activities. The students engaged in making cubes and explored them from three different perspectives, enhancing their spatial understanding and observation skills. They delved into the concept of coordinates, using hands-on kits to locate and plot points, fostering logical reasoning and critical thinking. All activities encouraged collaboration and creativity, with students actively using their SHIN books and materials. The sessions remained highly interactive, reinforcing core concepts while maintaining excitement and engagement across classes.
Students of Classes VI–VIII explored the fascinating science behind baking in a hands-on masterclass on shortbread and muffins. Guided by an expert baker, they learned about ingredient roles, chemical reactions, and the art of precision. The session blended creativity and food science, leaving students inspired and informed.
Premchand Jayanti was celebrated on 31 July with great reverence and enthusiasm across Classes I -X. Students immersed themselves in the literary world of Munshi Premchand through creative activities like story dramatizations, mask-making, letter writing, book cover design, and collective reading sessions. Stories like Do Bailon Ki Katha and Eidgah inspired critical thinking and creative expression. Library discussions further deepened students’ literary appreciation and empathy. The celebration successfully instilled Premchand’s values of honesty, simplicity, and humanity through joyful, reflective engagement.
On 23 July 2025, our talented Class III students took centre stage in the ‘Recycled Elegance – A Parade with Purpose’ competition. This creative event celebrated the concept of sustainability, with children designing and presenting innovative outfits and models made entirely from discarded materials. The initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness and highlight how creativity can turn waste into wonder. From paper dresses to bottle-cap accessories, each student showcased their unique vision and commitment to eco-friendly living. Congratulations to all participants for making this event a resounding success and reminding us that every small step towards sustainability counts! The Intra-Class Spell Bee Competition for Class IV was held on Wednesday, 23 July 2025. Six talented students from each section were selected after a preliminary round. The event aimed to enhance the vocabulary, spelling accuracy and listening skills of the students while also building their confidence in public speaking. The competition was conducted in three engaging and challenging rounds. The first round tested their ability to choose the correct homophone. It encouraged attentive listening and quick thinking. The other two rounds assessed their knowledge of correct spelling and pronunciation. The participants showcased excellent preparation and confidence. The audience appreciated their efforts with applause and cheers, creating a lively and encouraging atmosphere. On 23 July 2025, Class V participated in an engaging Intra Class Extempore Relay Competition, where students took part in pairs and spoke spontaneously on themes given on the spot. Topics such as My Favourite Birthday Gift, How I Would Spend My Money, Books or Movies, and Kindness never goes out of style, inspired thoughtful and creative responses. Each participant spoke for a minute before passing the topic baton to their partner, showcasing not only confidence but also strong teamwork and listening skills. The students impressed with their clarity, expression, and presence of mind. The event fostered critical thinking and effective communication in a fun, dynamic format. On 22nd July 2025, the Kindergarten students participated in an exciting intraclass fancy dress competition titled ‘Showcase Spectacle’ with the theme ‘My Favourite Food’. The little ones lit up the stage in a vibrant array of creative costumes. From delicious desserts to crunchy snacks and yummy treats, each child brought their favourite food to life with enthusiasm and imagination. Their confident performances, expressive dialogues, and endearing presence won hearts and applause from all. It was a delightful display of talent, joy, and creativity, leaving lasting smiles on everyone’s faces.
