Rabindranath Jayanti Celebrated with Joy and Creativity

On 7 and 8 May 2025, students from Classes I to V celebrated Rabindranath Jayanti with enthusiasm and admiration. Classes I and II enjoyed singing ‘Ekla Chalo Re,’ exploring stories like Kabuliwala, illustrating Tagore’s poems, and writing lines from Cloud and Waves. Classes III to V engaged in recitations, quizzes, podcasts, and creative writing like ‘If I were Tagore today…’. Activities like poem comprehension and national anthem discussions deepened their respect for Tagore’s legacy. The celebration fostered creativity, learning, and love for India’s literary icon.

SHIN Sessions Spark Curiosity and Collaboration

Through the months of April and May, the initial SHIN programme sessions for Classes III, IV, and V were highly engaging and impactful, fostering spatial awareness, critical thinking, and collaboration. In Class III, students explored 3D shapes using cubes, enhancing memory, motor coordination, and visualisation through individual and paired activities. Class IV and V students worked in groups of three, using kits with cubes and shapes to solve hands-on challenges that encouraged problem-solving and teamwork. SHIN rules were introduced, and students were guided on using their activity books and materials effectively. Across all classes, the interactive nature of the sessions promoted creativity, peer learning, and enthusiastic participation, laying a strong foundation for future SHIN activities.

Magic Mash-Up: A Fairy Tale Fusion Like Never Before

Magic, laughter, and a dash of mischief filled the air as our young stars of Class V brought fairy tales to life with a twist on 2 May 2025. From Cinderella teaming up with Chacha Chaudhry to defeat her stepsisters, to Iron Man going on wild adventures with Harry Potter, every performance was a rollercoaster of fun and imagination. Sparkling costumes, exceptional props, clever plots, and expressive voices had the audience in splits and awe. Judged on creativity and flair, our budding actors truly gave wings to fantasy. It wasn’t just a competition; it was a celebration of storytelling magic. Mini Melody (Rhyme Recitation) – An Intra-Class Competition for class Nursery (April 2025)

Mini Melody: Little Voices, Big Expressions Children love to play, and poetry is all about playing with rhyme and words. The Intra-Class Poetry Recitation Competition for Nursery students was held on 1 and 2 May 2025. The young contestants enthusiastically showcased their confidence and recitation skills. Each child recited a rhyme using expressive voice modulation and creative props to enhance their performance. The event was a resounding success, filled with enthusiasm and joy. It was heartwarming to see the tiny tots perform with such zeal and creativity. Mini Melody, an intra-class poetry recitation competition, was held for kindergarten students on 25 April 2025. The young participants took to the stage with their usual energy and enthusiasm, captivating the audience with their expressive and confident recitations. Through voice modulation, gestures, and vibrant performances, the children brought their chosen poems to life. The event was a joyful celebration of budding talent and an excellent opportunity for students to build confidence in a fun and engaging way. Illumin 8 (The Talent Hunt Competition) – An Intra Class Competition for Class IV ( April 2025)

Class IV students dazzled the audience on 23 April 2025, during Illumin8, an intra-class talent show celebrating performing arts. Each participant had the opportunity to shine in solo performances across dance (folk/western), singing (Indian/western), and instrumental categories. From rhythmic folk dances to soulful songs and melodious instrumental pieces, the event was a beautiful display of talent, confidence, and creativity. The students exhibited exceptional stage presence, emotional expression, and originality, leaving judges and peers thoroughly impressed. The competition not only nurtured their performance skills but also fostered self-expression and joy. Every performance was a celebration of passion and potential. Rethink, Reuse (Best Out of Waste) – An Intra Class Competition for Class II (April 2025)

The Intra-Class Competition ‘Rethink, Reuse’ (Best out of Waste) for Class II was held on Friday, 25 April 2025. The event encouraged students to think creatively and promote environmental awareness by transforming waste materials into useful items. Using old newspapers, plastic bottles, cardboard, and more, students crafted impressive models like soft drink dispensers, pen stands, trash cans, organisers, piggy banks, and even tools to practise addition. The competition highlighted their imagination, and skills while reinforcing the value of recycling and reusing in everyday life. Little Masterchefs (Flameless Cooking) – An Intra Class Competition for Class I (April 2025)

On 25 April 2025, our young culinary stars of Class I participated in the ‘Little Chefs’ (Flameless Cooking) Intra-Class Competition based on the exciting themes ‘A Sweet Delight’ and ‘Sandwich Surprise.’ Dressed in aprons and chef caps, students brought creativity to the table with dishes like Chocolate Ladoo, Brownie Bites, Bread Sushi Roll, Modak, Oreo Shots, Rainbow Custard Pudding, Rice Pepper Summer Rolls, Bread Doughnut, and Monster Sandwich. With a focus on hygiene, innovation, and presentation, the event was a flavourful celebration of imagination and confidence. Inter House Think Tank(VI-VIII)

Brilliant pitches and bold ideas, the spark of innovation lit up the stage on 15 April 2025, when the junior competition Think Tank was held. With a mission to sell the Next Big Thing™, houses unveiled business ventures that balanced creativity with strategy and feasibility. From eco-chic solutions like ClosetCupid to educational must-haves like EduShaala, each team entered the tank with a unique idea. With engaging presentations and clever responses, the competition mimicked a business reality show. Whether they secured the ‘funding’ or not, one thing was clear: Think Tank left audiences inspired, entertained, and maybe even plotting their own million-dollar idea.
