Numismatic Exploration: Learning beyond classrooms

The class XII students turned “Numismatists” in their History class as they closely studied & listed the visual elements (like – texts, images/symbols) and  material of  coins from different countries & time periods. They learned how coins become evidence of the past and reveal facts about different rulers/dynasties, their resources & contacts with others.

SCO Youth Art Exhibition in Uzbekistan Showcases Talents of TISVV Students

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is dedicated to fostering dialogue among the youth of its eight member countries, aiming to strengthen neighborly relations and mutual trust. Recently, SCO Uzbekistan hosted an art exhibition featuring works from students across all member nations. We are delighted to announce that ten paintings submitted by our students were chosen for display. These artworks, centered around the theme “The World Through the Eyes of Children,” were created by children aged 7 to 14. The selected pieces were by Garima Kundra, Manvith Arora, Jasmayra Arora, Navyasha Navjyoti, Yashwita Beelwal, Emma M. Khiangle, Avni Sikdar, Faith Rinhlui Chongthu, Ranvir Batra, and Megha Sood. Congratulations to all the talented participants!

Exploring Travel & Tourism with Industry Experts

On Friday, 02 February, 2024, our school’s ‘Travel and Tourism’ skill club organized an insightful session featuring Mr. and Mrs. Sharma, leaders of a Delhi-based travel entrepreneurial venture. The couple, with extensive industry expertise, engaged students in discussions covering sectors like Aviation, Hospitality, and Travel, as well as various traveler categories. They delved into career prospects, required qualifications and skills, and recommended institutes. The students actively shared their projects and sought guidance on future prospects in the dynamic field of travel and tourism, making it a truly enriching experience for all.

Computer Prowess–An Intra Class Competition for Classes  I-V  (January 2024)

In today’s world of ever advancing technology, youngsters have proven to be the quickest learners.  Students of the primary  wing pitted their digital skills against each other in Computer Prowess – an intra-class competition held In January 2024 spanning Classes I-V and based on “Mission Chandrayaan”. It was a  fusion of technology and creativity as students undertook diverse challenges tailored to their respective grade levels. Class I students embarked on a visual journey, employing the tools of MS Paint to design captivating “Outer Space Adventure/Space Scenes” and brought the cosmos to life on their digital canvases.  Moving up, Class II students expressed their appreciation for ISRO’s scientists and engineers by designing posters themed “Celebrating India on Moon” using OO04Kids-Writer. Class III was given the challenge of creating animated tales using Scratch 3.0 Programming. Their imaginative narratives centered around “Mission Chandrayaan – Journey to Moon,” using a fusion of coding skills and storytelling. Class IV students showcased their presentation skills by developing detailed PowerPoint presentations on “Mission Chandrayaan: India’s Journey to the Moon.” Tasked with developing games using KODU Game Lab on the topic “Chandrayaan-3: A Cosmic Maze,” Class V combined coding and game design to deliver engaging and educational experiences. The competition witnessed spirited participation, displaying  the students’ passion for technology . The panel of judges was left spellbound by the imagination and creativity displayed by the students. Each class brought forth its own unique perspective, contributing to an integrated celebration of technology and innovation. It was an exciting way to learn new skills and also demonstrated the school’s commitment to nurturing diverse talents. Embracing Gratitude: Team Sehpaathi at Jagriti

On December 20, 2024, Team Sehpaathi orchestrated a meaningful gratitude session at Jagriti, an NGO committed to supporting underprivileged children. During their visit, the student volunteers from Team Sehpaathi connected with dedicated teachers and the founder of the institute. The children at Jagriti eagerly embraced the opportunity to meet the team. Playing games, sharing gratitude stories, and talking about hobbies created a joyful atmosphere. Laughter and expressions of thanks filled the air as the team discussed ways to bring gratitude into daily life, like making gratitude jars. The kids at Jagriti were awesome, and Team Sehpaathi gave them stationery items to make their day even brighter. It was a heartwarming experience for everyone involved.

Capturing Creativity: Sarv Sahodaya Art & Photography Exhibition 2023

The Sarv Sahodaya Art & Photography Exhibition unfolded on Thursday, 23 November and Friday, 24 November 2023, at Sadhu Vaswani International School for Girls. In the domain of painting, students were immersed in a themed exploration. They were tasked with creating a visual interpretation of “Kabir ke Dohey” by incorporating the given folk arts. Our students, Pragya Khanna and Niharika Thakur of grade XI  engaged in the intricate process of depicting Kabir’s verses, namely; “कबीर सो धन संचिए जो आगेकंूहोइ” and “मरखू संग न कीजिए, लोहा जल न तिराई”; using Warli Art from Maharashtra. The ensuing process not only enhanced their artistic skills but also provided a unique lens through which to comprehend profound philosophical concepts. In the photography segment, the theme “Expressions to Impressions” encapsulated the journey from capturing raw emotions to creating lasting impressions. Lavnika Nanda of grade X submitted the photograph titled ‘Ballet of Souls’ and Atharva Chauhan captured ‘Radiant Transformations’. The students delved into the world of visual storytelling, using their lenses to convey the nuanced transitions from initial expressions to enduring imprints. Beyond mastering artistic techniques, they gained a deeper understanding of cultural expressions and the ability to seamlessly intertwine art with literature. We celebrate the students’ accomplishments and the dedication of educators who embraced this initiative. The integration of art into our curriculum not only fostered creativity but also underscored the importance of interdisciplinary learning, laying the foundation for a well-rounded and dynamic educational environment.

Young Sketchers– An Intra-Class Competition for class KG (December 2023)

Freehand drawing is one of the best means of improving hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills among children. It stimulates the creative centre of the brain and improves observation skills like perception of size, space and proportion. The theme for the KG Intra Class Competition was ‘Christmas’. The young kindergarteners enjoyed drawing and colouring a Christmas scene in their own individual styles. Their vivid  and imaginative compositions were a source of joy to all who saw them. Sweet Creations: A Culinary Journey for Young Minds

It is often said that in the kitchen, we find not just ingredients, but possibilities, and the Culinary and Baking Skill Club students from classes VI to VIII, recently, discovered just that during an engaging cupcake-making and presentation activity. Guided by mentors, students immersed themselves in the entire baking process, turning cupcakes into personalized edible masterpieces with vibrant frosting and decorations. Amid laughter and shared ideas, the event cultivated a supportive community where each student felt valued. 

Exploring Boundaries: Triumph at ‘Everyday Science’ Contest

In the exciting world of scientific exploration, our students recently shone at the ‘Everyday Science’ Contest, brilliantly organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell. This unique competition, challenging participants to creatively present science concepts, showcased the students’ ability to unveil the science in their surroundings. From captivating experiments to engaging presentations, our budding scientists met the challenge head-on, seamlessly blending the spirit of ‘Everyday Science’ with a touch of Bollywood in the realm of Thermodynamics. This journey beautifully highlighted the boundless possibilities that arise at the crossroads of knowledge and imagination. two outstanding teams, featuring Tanisha and Atharv Gaur, as well as Yasir and Srikrithi, have earned their place in the highly anticipated finale set for February 2024. We wish them the best of luck on their continued journey to becoming true champions in the field of thermodynamics

Ever imagined turning the theoretical journey of “Separation of Substances” into a thrilling hands-on adventure? The grade VI students did just that by diving into the world of Science, armed with curiosity and their Science kits. No dusty textbooks here—just the sheer joy of handpicking, sieving, and winnowing to unravel mixtures! This learning-by-doing escapade wasn’t just about reinforcing theory; it was an immersive exploration that brought scientific processes to life. Beyond the classroom’s four walls, this class celebrated the power of practical, fun learning experiences.
