Brainiacs – An Intra Class Competition for Class IV (November 2024)

To promote and encourage an engaging way of learning among students, an Intra-Class Math Quiz Competition, ‘BRAINIACS,’ was organized for Class IV. The preliminary round took place on 13 November 2024. The quiz featured five rounds; Warm-Up, Teasing Times, Picture Perfect, Double Trouble, and Fastest First. Students participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their skills and potential. Additionally, an audience round was conducted to involve the students in the audience, offering them an opportunity to test their understanding of mathematical concepts. The event enabled students to recognize their abilities and inspired them to broaden their knowledge. The quiz stimulated curiosity among the participants, boosting their confidence, sharpening their mental acuity, and fostering a fun-filled learning experience simultaneously. Mathletes – An Intra Class Competition for Class II (November 2024)

The final round of the Class II intra-class competition, Mathletes was a closely fought competition. Following a preliminary classroom round, four eager participants from each section advanced to the finals. The event featured four dynamic rounds of questions designed to test logical reasoning and quick thinking.The finalists displayed remarkable enthusiasm and problem-solving skills, tackling each challenge with precision and teamwork. The audience was equally engaged, adding to the excitement of this spirited competition. Mathletes celebrated the joy of learning and the thrill of solving mathematical puzzles in a fun, interactive setting. Shape Symphony – An Intra Class Competition for Class I (November 2024)

Class I students participated in the Shape Symphony intra-class competition, showcasing their artistic flair through vibrant paper mosaics. Themes like Fruit Basket, Seasons, and Nature’s Wonder inspired the young artists to craft intricate designs using colourful paper pieces. From depicting the Earth to an underwater scene with turtles and crabs, from autumn trees to serene mountain rivers, each mosaic was a testament to the students’ imagination and precision. This joyful event not only displayed their artistic talents but also boosted their confidence and enthusiasm for creative expression. The competition was a memorable celebration of art, leaving everyone inspired by the students’ creativity. Quizophile – An Intra Class Competition for Class V (November 2024)

On 5 Dec 2024, our Class V students engaged in an exhilarating Intra-Class Math Competition: Numero Uno. Divided into four teams, they battled it out in a series of rounds: a visual round testing their general knowledge, a rapid-fire round for quick calculations and a fun, interactive round that tested their mathematical knowledge. The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement and enthusiasm. Each team displayed exceptional problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a love for numbers. The competition was tough, but the spirit of sportsmanship prevailed. The event not only reinforced mathematical concepts but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition among the students. On 29 November 2024, students of Class III showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills in the Mathopoly Board Game competition. This unique event combined artistry with intellect as students designed captivating board games centred around mathematical concepts. Each game encouraged critical thinking while fostering a love for learning in an enjoyable way. Participants engaged in lively gameplay, turning math into a fun and collaborative experience. The competition highlighted the students’ innovation and teamwork, proving that learning mathematics can be both exciting and inspiring. Lights, Camera, Empowerment: Young Minds Shine at Chinh International Kids Film Festival

From 8 to 10 November 2024, the Chinh International Kids Film Festival in Bhimtal, Uttarakhand, provided a vibrant platform for young participants to immerse themselves in film, art, and culture. Children from various age groups served as jurors, assessing an international lineup of films and experiencing the art of film critique firsthand. This unique opportunity allowed them to hone their analytical skills, understand diverse storytelling methods, and appreciate global perspectives in cinema. Beyond films, the festival included sightseeing tours of Bhimtal and Sattal, where children enjoyed Uttarakhand’s natural beauty, and an art competition, where they designed T-shirts for the 2025 festival edition. This multifaceted experience empowered their young voices, nurtured their creativity, and deepened their cultural awareness, making it an unforgettable learning journey.

Character Portrayal (IX-XII)

The Character Portrayal competition was a thrilling event where each house had to represent a Marvel character. The energy was palpable as students embraced the challenge with creativity and enthusiasm. Each house brought a unique interpretation to the stage, reflecting their character’s iconic traits. The competition highlighted not just individual talent but also the collaborative effort within each house, as students worked together to craft compelling backstories and plots. Overall, it was a fantastic celebration of Marvel fandom and creativity. 

TakoFest: Kite Making (VI-VIII)

Takofest, an inter-House kite-making competition for Classes VI-VIII, drew inspiration from Japan’s traditional Takomatsuri. Devil’s Advocate: Turncoat (VI-VIII)

Lively arguments and quick-thinking filled the auditorium on 16 October 2024, when the much-anticipated inter-house competition, Devil’s Advocate: Turncoat Debate took place.This event tested not only the participants’ debating skills but also their ability to switch sides at a moment’s notice, challenging their wit and adaptability. The motions debated  by the participants included “Should zoos be banned?” and “Should the voting age be lowered to 16?”. The speakers  showcased their skills, with compelling arguments and smooth transitions. The event concluded with Shanti placing first and Ekta placing second. History Comes Alive for  Class VIII Students at Red Fort’s Sound & Light Show

On 9 November 2024, 88 students from Class VIII, accompanied by 10 teachers, attended the remarkable son-et-lumiere show at the Red Fort. This unique sound and light production,  against the majestic backdrop of the iconic Nahabat Khana, Diwan –e Aam and Diwan –e Khas, featuring live actors, music and dance combined with state-of-the-art digital art technology, brings India’s history to life in a vivid spectacle. The one-hour show unfolded in three parts, covering iconic episodes, from Shah Jahan’s troubled rule, the rise of the Marathas, the 1857 War of Independence to the struggles of the Indian National Army. Students were captivated by portrayals of the Mughal emperors, and more recent leaders like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Jawaharlal Nehru. The experience concluded with the national anthem, evoking a deep sense of national pride. The immersive show offered students an engaging look at India’s cultural legacy, reinforcing the school’s commitment to learning beyond textbooks.
