On 21 July 2025, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, hosted a mesmerizing SPIC MACAY event featuring the acclaimed vocalist Vidhushi Meeta Pandit Ji of the Gwalior Gharana, accompanied by Vinay Mishra Ji on harmonium and Shailendra Mishra Ji on tabla. The performance beautifully connected the audience with India’s classical heritage. The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. Students and staff were deeply inspired by the rich tapestry of music, culture, and emotion shared during this unforgettable experience.
TIS,VV celebrated Pi Day with a series of engaging, hands-on activities across Classes VI to XII. From Pi-themed paper chains, bracelets, skyline art, riddles, and digit memorization to a pi song and rap, students explored the mathematical constant with enthusiasm and creativity. All classes enjoyed a short comedy movie on π. These activities helped students understand the concept, significance, and real-world applications of π, while developing problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
The ‘Queering the Law: Beyond Supriyo’ summit was held on 12 July 2025 at The LaLiT Suri Hotel, New Delhi. Jointly organized by the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy and the Keshav Suri Foundation, the event launched four policy briefs addressing queer relationships, discrimination, healthcare, and violence. Backed by over 150 stakeholders, the summit fostered vital dialogue and paved the way for inclusive legal reforms in India. Notably, four students from the core team of ‘Breaking Barriers’ attended, representing and empowering youth voices for LGBTQIA+ inclusion.
The seventh edition of NINAAD, our annual cultural fiesta, was held on 5 July 2025. Dedicated to celebrating the beauty of imperfections and the power of inclusion, this year’s event raised funds for acid attack survivors. Organised by Team Awaam and We Care, the programme featured inspiring speeches by Mr. Mukul Verma and Ms. Shaheen Malik, vibrant performances by students, teachers, and parents and concluded with an energetic bhangra finale. NINAAD 2025 was more than an event; it was a heartfelt movement reflecting stories of courage, compassion, and unwavering spirit.
The annual inter-school technology fest Ordin@triX Kuriobots 25.0 lit up the campus on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, bringing together young tech enthusiasts from across the country. Hosted by the Pyrotech Club in collaboration with Kurious Learning Labs, this year’s fest revolved around the thought-provoking theme ‘Technoir: The Flip Side of Innovation.’ The event featured an exciting lineup of eleven competitions—ten held offline and one conducted online—spotlighting emerging fields such as Business Pitching, Movie Making, Photography, Data Analysis, Game Designing, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and Robotics. With participation from over 40 schools and a distinguished panel of judges from diverse industries—including business, education, filmmaking, photography, and technology—the fest marked a new benchmark with the introduction of several innovative categories. Congratulations to Amity International School, Sector 45, Gurugram, for clinching the Overall Winner’s Trophy in what was a thrilling and competitive display of creativity and technological prowess.
On the occasion of International Dance Day, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, hosted a SPIC MACAY event celebrating Indian classical arts. The highlight was a captivating Odissi performance by Padma Shri Guru Geeta Mahalik, accompanied by renowned artists Sri Prasanta Behera, Sri Prasant Mangaraj, and Sri Nikhil Kumar Behera. The event began with a lamp- lighting and shloka, followed by mesmerizing performances and student interaction with the artists. The celebration fostered appreciation for India’s cultural heritage and left a lasting impact on all present.
Tagore International School hosted Prismatic 2025 – The Inclusivity Fest on 24–25 April, a dynamic two-day celebration promoting diversity, empathy, and empowerment. The event honoured individuals with intellectual and physical challenges through inclusive performances and dialogue. Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma, an Indian Politician and a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party inaugurated the event and stressed on the importance of an inclusive society. Ms. Veditha Reddy (IAS). Director of Education and Sports for the Government of Delhi, graced the event as the Chief Guest on 25th April and emphasized the inclusive policy, equitable education, and community-driven change. The fest featured storytelling, mime, nukkad natak, and a Bollywood dance. Initiatives like Project Saksham and the international talent platform DISHA spotlighted student leadership. Esteemed guests like Dr. Sanjay Chaturvedi, Deputy Director of Education, Ms . Aarushi Gambhir, Ms. Seema Roy Chuwdhary, and ARC founders Mr. Anit Gupta and Ms. Ritu Malhotra added valuable insight. The event concluded with a heartwarming video tribute and renewed commitment to fostering inclusive spaces in education.
On 22 April 2025, students of Classes I to V celebrated Earth Day by enthusiastically participating in eco-friendly activities. Class I led a cleanliness drive, spreading awareness about hygiene. Class II designed and proudly wore Earth Day badges. Class III showcased creativity by making pen stands from upcycled plastic bottles. Class IV built toys using recycled materials, promoting sustainable play. Meanwhile, Class V crafted beautiful terrariums, highlighting the importance of green spaces. The celebration inspired responsibility and love for the planet in every young heart. With renewed determination, they pledged to continue their efforts to live sustainably and to inspire others to join them in caring for our planet, not just on Earth Day, but every day.Also, the school’s Social Science Department and Eco Club celebrated Earth Day with enthusiasm. Students from Classes VI to XII participated in meaningful activities promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. Highlights included upcycled utility bags, creative projects from recycled materials, an SDG expert session, and a SDG awareness walk. The Eco Club showcased awareness videos and a plastic waste model display. Through these initiatives, Tagoreans embodied the spirit of ‘I AM THE CHANGE THAT I WISH TO SEE,’ fostering a sense of responsibility towards the planet.
On 16 April 2025, on the occasion of World Heritage Day, students of Classes III to V enjoyed a day filled with diverse and meaningful activities. Class III and IV enjoyed a virtual tour of India’s iconic heritage sites and monuments. They created collages with pictures of monuments in Delhi that they have visited. This was followed by an engaging discussion on the importance of preserving these cultural treasures. Learners of Class V created interesting Heritage Cards in pairs on a chosen UNESCO World Heritage Site. The celebration concluded with a fun and interactive quiz, reinforcing their learning in an exciting way.
On 21 April 2025, four students from the school had the unique opportunity to participate in the Chinese Language Day Celebrations held at the Embassy of China. The event aimed to promote awareness and appreciation of the rich heritage of the Chinese language and culture. The students – Soneha, Aarvi Gupta, Adya Maheshwari, and Tvisha Mehta, showcased their remarkable calligraphy skills during the event. Their dedication and artistry were deeply appreciated by the attendees and reflected the school’s commitment to promoting cross-cultural learning.
