District Interact Council Installation Ceremony 2025–26

On 25 July 2025, the District Interact Council Installation Ceremony 2025–26 was held at the prestigious PHD Chamber of Commerce, celebrating a renewed commitment to youth leadership and service. A proud moment for Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar came with the appointment of Prabhtej Singh Gandhi as the Zonal Interact Representative (ZIR). His leadership will help foster collaboration and student engagement across schools. The inspiring Nav Chetna session and heartfelt appreciation for both teachers and students made the event deeply meaningful. The spirit of Service Before Self continues to shine bright.

Flawless Flaws Visits Brave Souls Foundation

As part of the school’s ‘We Care’ initiative, the Flawless Flaws team visited Brave Souls Foundation, a rehabilitation centre for acid attack survivors. Held on 22 July 2025, the visit began with heartfelt interactions that reflected resilience and hope. A therapeutic clay fridge magnet-making workshop provided a creative outlet, helping participants express themselves through art. The survivors’ warmth and strength left a lasting impression, strengthening the team’s resolve to foster inclusivity and empowerment. This experience was not just about creating art, but also about building connections, listening to stories, and being inspired by the human spirit.

Sensitisation Session on Gender Inclusion

The ‘Breaking Barriers’ team of Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, organised a sensitisation session on 18 July 2025 for students of Class XI, at Ramjas School . The session aimed to build awareness on gender identity, stereotypes and allyship through discussions, case studies and reflective group activities. Students explored concepts of empathy, equality and inclusivity, actively participating in open dialogues. Teachers appreciated the initiative and welcomed more such interactions in the future. The session concluded with students sharing their reflections and pledging to foster more inclusive and respectful environments in their daily lives.

Building Bridges: Diplomacy Club Hosts Russian Delegation

The Diplomacy Club held its inaugural meeting with the Russian delegation on 8 May 2025. Students exchanged greetings in their native languages, setting an inclusive tone. Russian students’ presentations included highlights of their regions, culture, and music, introducing icons like Chekhov and popular bands. Indian students reciprocated with insights into Indian literature and music. The session included rich discussions on traditions, attire, and cuisines. Observing Russia’s Victory Day, students shared national pride and reflected on historical milestones together.

Celebrating Inclusivity at World Autism Awareness Day 2025 Sports Event

The school’s sports team, along with students from Team Saksham, participated in the World Autism Awareness Day 2025 Sports Event organized by Tamana Autism Centre on 4 April 2025. Students enthusiastically took part in various events such as Tug of War, Ring-O-Ring, 40m Race, 40m Hurdle Race, Soft Ball Throw, and Skating, securing top positions in multiple categories. The event was a true celebration of inclusivity, promoting teamwork, empathy, and unity among students of all abilities through the spirit of sportsmanship and shared participation.

Sehpaathi Session with Partner NGOs

Sehpaathi conducted an enriching session on 17 May 2025 for students from Hamari Pehchan and Jaagriti. TIS,VV volunteers guided them through the basics of MS Word, covering tools and shortcuts, followed by an engaging introduction to Scratch coding. A concise English class on subject-verb agreement added to the academic value. The session ended with heartfelt thank-you cards created by the students. Filled with knowledge-sharing and warm connections, the day left a meaningful impact on both volunteers and learners.

Girl Up Summit—Our Future, Her Voice

Held on 4 May 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Oval, the Girl Up Summit—Our Future, Her Voice—brought together global advocates and young change makers to champion gender equality. With vibrant stations for face painting and photography, the atmosphere blended fun with purpose. Insightful panels featured Meaghan Blight (Wesleyan College), Shombi Sharp (UN India), and Kanta Singh (UN Women India), who inspired students through heartfelt dialogue and mentorship. The event emphasized the power of girls’ voices in shaping inclusive communities and a better tomorrow. Attendees left motivated, united by the belief: when girls rise, we all rise.

Empowering Educators: A United Stand Against Child Abuse

On 30 April 2025, Breaking Barriers conducted a sensitization session at Adventures Overland, a leading travel company known for its immersive road trips across countries and cultures. The session aimed to foster awareness on unconscious bias, inclusive behaviour, and the value of diversity. The participants participated wholeheartedly, sharing personal stories and engaging in thoughtful discussions. Through interactive activities and real-life examples, the session created a safe space for dialogue and reflection. The session marked a significant step towards fostering a culture of respect and empathy, essential in various professional environments. Breaking Barriers remains committed to extending such efforts to more institutions, promoting acceptance and equality in every sphere of society.

Empowering Educators: A United Stand Against Child Abuse

On 7 February 2025, The Missing Links Organization hosted a pivotal panel discussion and round table conference at The Grand Hotel, New Delhi, focusing on preventing child abuse and trafficking. The event included government officials, NGOs, legal experts, social workers, academics, and student representatives, including our student Sonakshi Sharma of Class XI. Discussions emphasised the 4C’s Framework: Children, Caregivers, Community, and Child Protection Ecosystem Stakeholders. The panel highlighted the essential role of educators as the first line of defence in child protection, stressing the importance of training teachers to respond sensitively to disclosures. The increasing risks children face online were also addressed, with a call for enhanced digital literacy. Sonakshi shared her experiences with online safety challenges, advocating for student-led initiatives to foster a supportive school environment. The conference underscored the need for multi-sectoral partnerships to create safer spaces for children.
