On 8 October 2025, students of Classes IV and V participated in an engaging story session by author Mr. Kanav Agnihotri, who narrated his latest tale, ‘Super Sharkaru and the Solar Storm.’ The adventurous story combined imagination with awareness about space phenomena and environmental concerns, encouraging students to think about the impact of pollution beyond Earth. A screening of the animated images brought the story vividly to life, while a fun role-play activity allowed students to step into the characters’ shoes. The session ended with excitement and curiosity about Sharkaru’s future adventures.
As a part of Breaking Barriers under the We Care initiative, the students conducted a Gender Sensitization Session at Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute, Subroto Park on 8 October 2025. The session aimed to foster awareness, empathy, and equality through interactive discussions and reflective activities. Participants from Class XI explored stereotypes, examined unconscious biases, and shared insightful perspectives on inclusion and respect. The engaging dialogue concluded with the message that every individual deserves equal opportunities and dignity. The facilitators were appreciated for their confident communication and meaningful interaction.
The Science, Social Science, and Math departments of our school, along with the faculty of Tagore International School, East of Kailash, attended a special workshop held at Tagore International School, East of Kailash on 16 September 2025. During the session, teachers carried out the excavation of choco chips from cookies. The activity began with pre-excavation observations, such as estimating choco chip distribution and calculating areas. During the excavation, participants identified patterns and recorded data. Post-excavation discussions included applying ratio, proportion, and pattern recognition, exploring scientific aspects of ingredients, and examining excavation processes from a Social Science perspective.The workshop concluded with reflections on how such hands-on, interdisciplinary activities provide meaningful learning experiences and serve as an effective approach to experiential learning in classrooms.
A stimulating Arts Integration Workshop was conducted for teachers on 17 September 2025. The resource persons were Ms. Neera Chopra and Ms. Gauri Sen. They demonstrated how art forms like dance, music, theatre, painting and drama can enrich classroom experiences. The session gave teachers hands-on opportunities through activities such as the Rivers Web Chart , Weave a Story and Collaborative Lesson Design. Teachers were guided to select topics and pair them with suitable art forms and develop creative instructional strategies. The workshop showed that integrating arts improves comprehension, nurtures imagination and makes learning joyful. It was an inspiring professional development initiative. It equipped teachers with new methodologies to promote student engagement and holistic growth.
Our school was delighted to host an engaging author talk for classes III and V on 17 September 2025. Ms Sudhamahi Regunathan, an author and a translator, brought alive timeless tales from the Ramayana, weaving stories of courage, wisdom, and problem-solving. She shared anecdotes of Lord Ganesha, highlighting the importance of finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems. The interactive session kept students spellbound as they eagerly asked questions and received thoughtful answers. The joy was doubled when students purchased books signed by the author. It was an enriching experience that left young learners inspired and smiling.
A Capacity Building Programme on Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms was successfully conducted at St. Mark’s World School on 30 August 2025. The session was expertly led by Ms. Neha Dhyani, a CBSE resource person from Tagore International School Vasant Vihar. Teachers participated in interactive activities, explored practical applications of AI, and gained strategies to create personalised, future-ready learning experiences. The programme concluded with positive feedback, highlighting increased awareness and readiness among educators to embrace AI tools in education.
The school organised a Career Fair on 12 September 2025 in collaboration with Oberois Education Link, offering students valuable exposure to global academic and career opportunities. Representatives from distinguished institutions including the University of Kent, Kingston University, University of East Anglia, University of Central Lancashire, University of Lincoln, and members of the Russell Group interacted with students. The sessions provided clarity on courses, scholarships, admission procedures, and future prospects. Students actively participated in discussions, exploring disciplines across diverse fields. The fair proved to be insightful and empowering, helping learners make informed choices for higher education and professional pathways.
The school organised an engaging CodeConnect session on 2 August, 2025 for students from Hamari Pehchan and Jaagriti under the Sehpaathi initiative. The session began with an introduction to HTML, offering students their first hands-on experience with coding. TIS volunteers guided them as they explored basic tags and web elements. The learning continued with a creative activity on Canva, where students designed Independence Day cards, blending digital skills with national pride. The session was filled with enthusiasm, imagination and inspiration, concluding with heartfelt presentations and a collective sense of accomplishment.
The school organised a dupatta painting workshop in collaboration with Flawless Flaws on 23 August, 2025, bringing together acid attack survivors and students. The session continued from the earlier fabric painting activity held on 2 August, helping participants practise and explore creative techniques. With bright shades and detailed designs, each dupatta reflected courage, resilience, and individuality. The workshop not only nurtured artistic expression but also built bonds of empathy and strength. By the end, the painted fabrics became symbols of empowerment, proving that art can heal, inspire, and unite.
On 27 August, students of Class XI attended a thought-provoking session on Learning and Development – The Power of Unlearning by Mr. Lucky Puchhrat, a sought-after speaker and seminar leader with HT Media for nearly a decade. He highlighted the role of emotional intelligence, adaptability, and perseverance. Through mythology, real-life stories, and examples like Steve Jobs, he inspired students to unlearn limiting patterns, embrace resilience, and take small steps toward meaningful success.
