Teacher’s Capacity-Building Session on Gender and Adolescent Concerns 

The school organised an insightful session for senior school teachers (Class IX–XII) on 23 August, 2025 in collaboration with the Pratisandhi Foundation. The discussion focused on gender, identity and the influence of gender norms on classroom interactions. Teachers reflected on unconscious biases, fostering positive masculinity, and creating safe, inclusive learning environments through non-shaming approaches. The session further guided teachers on recognising typical and concerning adolescent behaviours, responding with calmness, and ensuring compliance with POCSO. The importance of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in nurturing consent, equity, mental health, and life skills was also emphasised.    

Nurturing Health Through Nutrition

The school organised an insightful session under the skill club ‘What to Do When Doctor is Not Around’ on 20 August ,2025 with Ms. Simran Butalia. The speaker emphasised the importance of balanced nutrition for children growth and development. She shed light on Prime Minister Modi’s Eat Right India initiative, encouraging students to make healthier food choices. The session also highlighted adopting a disciplined lifestyle and creating awareness about healthy eating habits. Students actively participated, gaining practical tips to improve their dietary patterns. It was an enriching experience that promoted wellness and mindful living.

CodeConnect: A Fusion of Tech and Patriotism

The school organised an engaging CodeConnect session on 2 August, 2025 for students from Hamari Pehchan and Jaagriti under the Sehpaathi initiative. The session began with an introduction to HTML, offering students their first hands-on experience with coding. TIS volunteers guided them as they explored basic tags and web elements. The learning continued with a creative activity on Canva, where students designed Independence Day cards, blending digital skills with national pride. The session was filled with enthusiasm, imagination and inspiration, concluding with heartfelt presentations and a collective sense of accomplishment.

Awareness Session on Adolescent Health 

The school organised an enlightening session for Class XI on 21 August, 2025 in collaboration with the Pratisandhi Foundation. The discussion revolved around adolescent health, relationships and personal safety. Students explored topics such as reproductive health and consent . They were guided about different preventive methods, their importance in maintaining well-being and making informed decisions. A thoughtful segment highlighted grey zones in relationships, urging students to identify healthy and unhealthy dynamics. The interactive session concluded with a focus on rights, safe spaces and reliable support systems for young people.   

Empowerment through Art: Fabric Painting Workshop for Acid Attack Survivors

The school organised a heartfelt fabric painting workshop on 2 August, 2025 under the Flawless Flaws initiative, bringing together acid attack survivors and students in a space of creativity and mutual respect. The session encouraged healing, expression and skill development, offering survivors an opportunity to explore a path toward self-reliance. With enthusiastic support from Class XI and Class XII volunteers, the atmosphere remained inclusive and uplifting throughout. This workshop also marked the beginning of a Saturday series aimed at equipping survivors with creative skills for confidence, independence, and personal empowerment.

Overseas Education & Career Talk with UEA and Oberoi’s Education Link

The school organised an enriching Overseas Education & Career Talk on 20 August, 2025 for students of Classes XI and XII. The session featured Ms. Anjana Singh, Regional Head, South Asia (University of East Anglia) and Ms. Shilpa Bhatnagar, Senior Counselor (Oberoi’s Education Link). Students were guided on UK university admissions, scholarships, course selection and cultural orientation. Insights into student life, research prospects and part-time work opportunities were shared. The interactive Q&A round helped students clarify doubts and reflect on future academic pathways, making the session an inspiring step toward global education.

Future of Work – Career Awareness Session

The school organised a session on Future of Work for students of Classes XI and XII on 06 August 2025. Led by Ms Aadya Aggarwal, Founder of The Well-Being Collective India, the session explored emerging career trends shaped by technology, global shifts, and emotional intelligence. Students learnt about diverse professional fields, including ethical AI, wellness, and social entrepreneurship. Practical advice on skill development, adaptability, and continuous learning encouraged students to align their strengths with evolving opportunities. The interactive discussion left students motivated to explore career options beyond conventional paths.

Shaping Future Classrooms: A Day of Learning, Laughter & Innovation

On 02 August 2025, teachers from Nursery to Class V enthusiastically participated in a Capacity Building Programme on the National Curriculum Framework, led by CBSE resource persons, Ms Neera Chopra and Ms Isha. The session began with an engaging ice-breaker—Design a Future Classroom. Teachers collaborated in groups to create collages of ideal learners. They explored the innovative Jigsaw method, reading strategies, and the distinct stages of school education: Foundational, Preparatory, Middle, and Secondary. The training also highlighted cross-cutting themes and best teaching practices. A lively round of dumb charades on classroom strategies added a fun twist to the learning experience, making the day both insightful and interactive.

Interactive Session for Parents: Building Bridges of Trust

The school organised an engaging session for parents of students from Classes IX to XII on 2 August 2025, in collaboration with Pratisandhi Foundation. Titled ‘Building Bridges – Growing with Your Teen’, the session aimed at strengthening parent-child communication and fostering trust. It focused on understanding the emotional needs of adolescents and becoming more approachable as parents. Practical strategies were shared to handle questions with empathy and patience. The interactive Q&A segment empowered parents to support their children through their formative years with confidence, understanding and care.

Transforming Teaching Through Tales: Storytelling Workshop with Mr. Aditya Poddar  

On 01 Aug 2025, a creative and enriching workshop on The Art of Storytelling by Mr. Aditya Poddar was organised for teachers of Classes I to V, highlighting its power as a transformative teaching tool. Educators explored techniques to make lessons more engaging, memorable, and relatable through stories. The session demonstrated how storytelling can be woven into subjects such as history, religion, and current affairs to build curiosity and a deeper understanding. Through captivating capsules and quizzes, the speaker shared insightful trivia on significant historical events. The workshop reinforced storytelling as a powerful pedagogy that not only informs but also inspires and connects with learners emotionally.
