The Learning Physics through Nature (Lepton) workshop was conducted for the students of Class X on 19 April 2024 , with the aim of providing hands-on learning experiences in physics through natural phenomena. The workshop incorporated demonstrations, discussions, experiment-based videos, and objective type questionnaires to engage students and enhance their understanding of physics concepts. Top scorer Manhar Ahuja of Class X C has been selected for the National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST) providing him with an opportunity to showcase his physics skills on a national platform.

Anshul Bhardwaj, an alumnus of TISVV and now the Chief Vision Officer of Zapclo, conducted a career guidance session ,”Unleash Your Potential: Entrepreneurial: Insights and Strategies for Classes XI and XII on Tuesday, 16 April 2024. He shared his journey from student to startup leader, emphasizing essential steps in building a business from scratch. Mr. Bhardwaj discussed key concepts like problem identification, action planning, and leveraging AI in marketing and sales. He differentiated between startups and established businesses, highlighting critical components of an action plan, such as value proposition, GTM strategy, and MVP. Infusing the session with light-hearted banter and industry puns, Mr Bhardwaj engaged students and addressed their queries, inspiring them with his insights on entrepreneurship.
As a school we take pride in being inclusive, multi-cultural and secular. The school is a safe and harmonious environment for every student. A talk on the kind of discrimination faced in Delhi by citizens from the North East was an eye opener for many students who had never thought about this earlier. The aim was to address prejudices and stereotypes, encourage empathy and respect, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of India. On April 12, 2024, a session was held for Classes IX and X students. It commenced with students anonymously documenting their encounters with discrimination. A segment from “Chak De India” was screened, underscoring the importance of acknowledging equality. Traditional clothing from diverse Indian states was exhibited, highlighting the common humanity of those who wear them. Students were dismayed to discover that 77% of North East residents face racial discrimination, often being derogatorily referred to as “chinkies” or “momos,” and questioned about their nationality. The anonymous notes were then revealed, emphasizing that discrimination of any kind is unjust. Many shared their experiences of facing prejudice, concluding the session as a significant stride toward fostering an inclusive and respectful school environment. Through education, empathy, and cultural appreciation, we can collectively build a society that embraces diversity and condemns discrimination.
On April 10, 2024, students in classes IX and X engaged in an enlightening session organized by the Career Guidance Cell of the school. Emphasizing that career decisions shape lives, participants were urged to begin planning early. Discussions spanned choosing streams, subject combinations, exploring new-age careers and crafting effective career plans. Led by Ms. Jyotsna Bharadwaj, an educator with over 30 years of experience, the session delved into vital topics such as career crystallization and execution. Envision India Eduservices, renowned for its expertise, provided invaluable insights and psychometric assessments. As our partnership continues, students can expect ongoing support in navigating optimal career pathways and profiles.

Recently, orientation sessions were conducted individually for each classes X and XII on Friday, 05 April and classes VI and IX on Saturday, 06 April 2024. Led by Ms. Isha Sood (Senior School Head Mistress) and Ms. N Saroj (Dean of Academics), these sessions addressed academic requirements, school ethos, and parental concerns. They provided a platform for parents to interact with subject teachers and appreciate the school’s holistic approach to student development. These initiatives underscore the collaborative role of parents and schools in fostering comprehensive child growth.

PACE is now offering students of TISVV an opportunity to attend foundational courses in math and science starting from the session 2024-25, which will have the benefit of being integrated into the school timings and held in the school premises.Sandeep Singhal (Director of Academics and Delhi Head of Operations) addressed students and parents of Class X (the 2024-25 batch) on 9 March 2024. He shared their vision of using innovative and experiential study strategies to train students in logical reasoning. Their USP is being an end to end service, where the entire process of selecting universities, profile building, prep for various standardized tests, form filing etc for entrances in India or for applying to foreign universities is all taken care of. Their courses will be aligned with the school curriculum and thus coordinated to avoid clashes with school examinations. Going beyond textbooks and learning concepts in a holistic manner is their guarantee, said Mr Singhal. This is yet another new initiative taken by the school to offer students every possibleopportunity to fulfil their dreams and aspirations.
Mythos Lab and YouTube hosted an engaging Media Literacy Workshop for students of Class VIII on 23 February 2024. In today’s digital world where we are all bombarded with messages on social media, media literacy can help combat the current misinformation epidemic and empower students. The students participated in an open discussion addressing misinformation and disinformation. The importance of identifying them was also highlighted through short, entertaining videos. The students were introduced to three common tactics; decontextualizing, spoofing, and emotional manipulation, as well as how to identify and combat these using the innovative acronym SUCS (Source, Ubiquity, Context, Second Opinion). Students learnt how to protect themselves online, to verify news authenticity, develop critical thinking and promote responsible media usage. To reinforce key points, a short interactive game was played with the students at the very end. This was a significant workshop which empowered students to navigate the digital world in safety and with confidence
Dive into the world of storytelling with the Creative Writing Workshop organized by Hindustan Times on February 20, 2024, exclusively tailored for Class VII students. Led by Ms. Nitika Jain, the workshop unfolded a plethora of tips and tricks aimed at elevating the students’ skills in crafting compelling stories. Engaging activities such as “Complete the Story Line” and “Suggest an Alternative Ending” sparked creativity among the participants. The latter session by Ms. Surekha Jain introduced the young minds to the joys of writing in Hindi. A mesmerizing story was shared, complemented by a self-written poem, nurturing a newfound appreciation for the language. The workshop concluded with valuable feedback from the enthusiastic students and a gracious vote of thanks delivered by Ivaan Choudhury.
