Igniting Curiosity: Kitchen Chemistry Workshop for Students

On 23 January 2025, students of  Classes IX and XI experienced the wonders of chemistry in an interactive “Kitchen Chemistry” workshop led by Professor Stephen H. Ashworth. A renowned expert in Chemical Physics and Science Communication from the University of East Anglia, UK, Professor Ashworth captivated students with his dynamic teaching style and expertise in Chemical Physics and Science Communication. The workshop offered an exciting exploration of chemistry using everyday kitchen materials, bringing textbook concepts to life through engaging experiments. Students delved into the practical applications of chemistry, witnessing firsthand its connection to other disciplines and igniting their curiosity for interdisciplinary learning. The session fostered critical thinking and curiosity, inspiring students to see chemistry beyond the classroom. Thrilled by the real-world applications, many students expressed newfound interest and excitement in the subject, making the workshop an unforgettable learning experience.

Katghara: A Platform for Thoughtful Debate

On 18 January 2025 our school hosted Katghara: An Open Debate Competition, organised by the Rotaract Club of Delhi Elite RID 3011 in collaboration with the schools Interact Club. The event brought together students from 12 schools and colleges for a spirited two-tier debate. Tishya Chandok, President of the Interact Club, highlighted the mission of the schools We Care programme during the opening ceremony. The debate showcased exceptional talent, with our school team, Yashaswi and Aditya Bahukhandi, securing the Runners-Up trophy. Tagore International School was commended as an eminent collaborator for its efforts in organising the event, and all Interact volunteers received Letters of Recommendation for their dedication and hard work. Katghara exemplified the schools commitment to enhancing critical thinking and public speaking skills among students.

Tagore Students at IIT Delhi’s LGBTQIA+ Fest

On 18 January 2025, 25 students from We Care (the social service initiatives of our school) participated in Vibhinn—the LGBTQIA+ Fest at IIT Delhi, organised by Indradhanu. The theme, ‘Repairing Recognition,’ addressed misconceptions about inclusivity, intersectionality, and challenges in education. Sonakshi Sharma, President of Breaking Barriers, served as a panelist, enriching the discussions. Students gained insights into grassroots collectivisation and allyship, making the event an invaluable learning opportunity. This participation reflects the school’s dedication to fostering empathy, inclusivity and awareness in its students.

Doodle Delight – An Intra-Class Competition for class Nursery (December 2024)

An Intra-Class drawing competition was conducted for Nursery kids on 26 December 2024 with an objective to encourage creativity and artistic expression among young students. The theme for the competition was ‘Garden’. It was a wonderful event that displayed each participant’s talent and confidence. Virtuoso’24: A Stage for Emerging Talent

On 23 December 2024, Sehpaathi organised Virtuoso’24, a talent showcase for children from NGOs Jaagriti and Samarpan Foundation. The event celebrated diverse performances, including dance and music, judged by Ms Sujata Arora, Ms. Peehu Bhardawaj, and Ms. Maitreyee Bhattacharya. Chief Guest Ms N. Saroj praised the participants for their creativity and skill. The event encouraged and empowered the young performers, highlighting their potential while inspiring others to explore their own abilities. Virtuoso’24 was a meaningful celebration of the talent and determination in every child, no matter what the background.

Ad Mad – (VI-VIII)

If it doesn’t sell, it isn’t creative! – David Ogilvy Perfect products and catchy jingles;  the power of an advertisement came under the spotlight on 20 December 2024, when the competition AdMad was organized for Classes VI-VIII. With the goal of selling  the World’s Most Overqualified Product (!) houses presented their tailor-made advertisements  with creative  and stunning props,  and cracked up the audiences with hilarious gags and antics. Featuring amusing musical features, the convincing ads   made it difficult not to open your wallet and spend your earnings. Farewell to the Class of 2025

On 28 December 2024, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, bid farewell to the Class XII batch of 2025. Organized by Class XI students, the event was a beautiful blend of nostalgia, celebration, and heartfelt good wishes. Held in the school auditorium, the farewell party was filled with joy and enthusiasm as outgoing students reminisced about their cherished moments with friends and teachers. The theme, The Last Snowfall, was brought to life as the young ladies dazzled in elegant evening gowns and the gentlemen looked dapper in formal suits. The highlight of the evening was a ramp walk where students competed for titles like Mr and Ms Tagore, Mr and Ms Popular and many more. The event also featured lively music, dance performances, and a sumptuous dinner, making it a truly memorable celebration. Class XI students bid adieu to their seniors with a mix of emotions, wishing them success in their future endeavors.

Graduation Ceremony: Class of 2025

Graduation Ceremony: Class of 2025 Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, organized a heartwarming Graduation Ceremony for its Class XII students on 28 December 2024, marking the end of their school journey. The beautifully decorated auditorium, echoed with the joy and pride of the occasion.The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, accompanied by the chanting of shlokas. The chief guest, Major General Vikram Dev Dogra, was formally welcomed, after which each student was presented with a citation and the yearbook Reverie.A vibrant cultural programme by Class XI students featuring a Kathak dance and a touching song reflected the sentiments of the day. The handing-over ceremony saw the induction of new cabinet members, symbolizing leadership continuity. Rabindra Ratna awardee, Divyansh Sinha and Student Council President, Rhea Sehgal expressed their gratitude towards the school. The valedictorians also shared their journey at TIS.Major General Vikram Dev Dogra inspired the students with motivational words, sharing with them the importance of perseverance and patience in life. He also urged on the significance of timely work.

Parliamentary Debate (IX-XII)

The Character Portrayal competition was a thrilling event where each house had to represent a Marvel character. The energy was palpable as students embraced the challenge with creativity and enthusiasm. Each house brought a unique interpretation to the stage, reflecting their character’s iconic traits. The competition highlighted not just individual talent but also the collaborative effort within each house, as students worked together to craft compelling backstories and plots. Joyful Christmas Celebration

On 24 December 2024, the spirit of Christmas illuminated the atrium at our school, as students of all classes came together for a heartwarming celebration. A vibrant Nativity scene featuring Mother Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, shepherds, and angels brought the timeless story to life. Dressed as Santa, students added charm to the festivities. Melodious carols resonated throughout, with everyone joining in to sing and dance. Sweet treats in the cafeteria and messages of peace and goodwill truly marked the essence of the season.
