Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar hosted Frequency Modulation 2025 on 5 August, celebrating radio’s evolving creative potential in the digital age. Students from schools across Delhi participated in three categories — On Air!, Synth-X, and RODcast — each spotlighting a unique facet of audio storytelling. The hybrid-format event featured online preliminaries and a grand offline finale. Renowned industry professionals—RJ Khurafati Nitin, RJ Harii, Dr. Amrita Dutta, Niladri Chakravarty, Radhika Mishra, Mr. Gautam Raj Anand, and Mr. Shirshendu Banerjee—graced the event as judges and mentors, making it an enriching and inspiring experience. The school organised an engaging session for parents of students from Classes IX to XII on 2 August 2025, in collaboration with Pratisandhi Foundation. Titled ‘Building Bridges – Growing with Your Teen’, the session aimed at strengthening parent-child communication and fostering trust. It focused on understanding the emotional needs of adolescents and becoming more approachable as parents. Practical strategies were shared to handle questions with empathy and patience. The interactive Q&A segment empowered parents to support their children through their formative years with confidence, understanding and care.
In July, the SHIN programme for Class V continued to build on previous learning with new, stimulating activities. The students engaged in making cubes and explored them from three different perspectives, enhancing their spatial understanding and observation skills. They delved into the concept of coordinates, using hands-on kits to locate and plot points, fostering logical reasoning and critical thinking. All activities encouraged collaboration and creativity, with students actively using their SHIN books and materials. The sessions remained highly interactive, reinforcing core concepts while maintaining excitement and engagement across classes.
Students of Classes VI–VIII explored the fascinating science behind baking in a hands-on masterclass on shortbread and muffins. Guided by an expert baker, they learned about ingredient roles, chemical reactions, and the art of precision. The session blended creativity and food science, leaving students inspired and informed.
On 01 Aug 2025, a creative and enriching workshop on The Art of Storytelling by Mr. Aditya Poddar was organised for teachers of Classes I to V, highlighting its power as a transformative teaching tool. Educators explored techniques to make lessons more engaging, memorable, and relatable through stories. The session demonstrated how storytelling can be woven into subjects such as history, religion, and current affairs to build curiosity and a deeper understanding. Through captivating capsules and quizzes, the speaker shared insightful trivia on significant historical events. The workshop reinforced storytelling as a powerful pedagogy that not only informs but also inspires and connects with learners emotionally.
The school conducted its Student Cabinet Elections on 24 July 2025. Students voted using EVMs designed by their peers, combining democratic values with technological innovation. The process promoted civic responsibility, leadership, and teamwork—empowering students to engage meaningfully with democratic practices through real-time participation.
On 30 July 2025, the students and faculty of Class IV had an enriching opportunity to visit the National Science Centre, New Delhi. The museum is renowned for its engaging exhibits, hands-on activities, and its commitment to making science accessible and enjoyable for all age groups. The visit proved to be both educational and inspiring. One of the key highlights was the ‘Dinosaur Cave’, where students learned about different types of dinosaurs that existed. Students were particularly fascinated by the 3D science shows and the human biology section. The museum showcased a vast range of scientific disciplines in a fun and interactive manner. Undoubtedly, this visit ignited a deeper interest in science among our students and will remain a memorable experience in their academic journey.
The school organised a career session for Classes XI and XII on 30 July 2025, conducted by Ms. Pushpa Joshi, Deputy Director (Admissions & Outreach), GD Goenka University. With vast experience in education and student counselling, Ms. Joshi shared insights on Aeronautical Engineering as a career. She discussed the academic roadmap, entrance exams, degree options and specialisations. Opportunities in ISRO, DRDO, Boeing and private aerospace firms were also explored. The session concluded with valuable advice on preparing holistically, staying globally aware and following one’s unique path in emerging technical fields.
The school organised an interactive and informative session for Class X on 24 July 2025 and Class XII on 25 July 2025, conducted by the Pratisandhi Foundation. The facilitators guided students through themes such as understanding boundaries, respectful communication, identifying safe and unsafe behaviours, and exploring personal values. Class XII also discussed legal frameworks and learned how to respond appropriately to sensitive situations. The sessions encouraged empathy, openness and critical thinking, equipping students to navigate real-life scenarios with awareness and maturity. The initiative received positive engagement from students who appreciated the safe and inclusive space created.
The school organised a theatrical excursion for students of Class VI on 29 July 2025 to witness ‘Threads of Time: The Story of Us’ at Kamani Auditorium, Mandi House. The captivating performance explored humanity’s evolution from primitive tools to flourishing civilizations, through engaging storytelling and vivid dramatization. A charismatic Time Traveler led the students across eras, making historical themesaccessible and thought-provoking. The one-hour show kept the audience thoroughly absorbed, sparking curiosity and reflection. This enriching experience highlighted the impact of immersive learning in deepening students’ understanding and making history both enjoyable and memorable.
