On July 3, 2024, Class XI History students did just that, exploring gender roles and rights within the Roman social hierarchy. Guided by their mentor, Ms. Yachana Villaitrani, students created engaging skits and scenarios. Through teamwork, creative brainstorming and art integration, they gained a deeper understanding of Roman history, making learning an enjoyable and memorable experience.

The Nursery students at our school joyously celebrated Red Day with enthusiasm and creativity. They explored the vibrant hue through various activities such as dressing in shades of crimson, painting strawberries, and completing colorful worksheets. The highlight of the day was a surprise Rooh Afza party, where they enjoyed refreshing drinks and shared laughter. This celebration not only enhanced their understanding of colors but also fostered social interaction and creativity among the young learners. It was a memorable day filled with fun and enriching experiences.

To ensure a smooth transition from the secondary to the senior secondary stage, an orientation was held on 6 July 2024 for parents and students of Class XI. Ms. Isha Sood, Senior School Head Mistress, introduced the school management and teachers, discussing school rules, including punctuality, discipline and the expected mode of conduct. Ms. N. Saroj, Dean of Academics, explained the examination pattern, promotion policy, planner details, and the option of a sixth subject. She also shared important websites for updates and reference, such as www.cbse.nic.in, www.cbseacademic.in, and www.tagoreint.com. This comprehensive introduction helped students understand their new responsibilities, resources, and expectations, fostering a sense of preparedness and confidence. These sessions are instrumental in ensuring a seamless transition, enriching both the academic and social experiences of the students.
Our students Sanjana Prasad of Class X and Anika Chauhan of Class XI were invited for a Round Table Conference organized by Geostrata and the Ministry of External Affairs. Delving into the dynamics of global diplomacy and the perspectives of future leaders, the STRATA x MEA Roundtable convened at the Ministry of External Affairs, offered in-depth insights into a wide range of foreign policy issues. The event was marked by the presentation of the ‘India’s Growing Stature on the Global Stage’ report to the MEA.
On Monday, 08 July 2024, our school hosted a workshop on Paper Recycling for the students of Samarpan Foundation. Students engaged in hands-on activities to learn about the practicalities of recycling paper and its environmental impact. The session included a guided tour of our Science Fair, enriching their understanding of scientific principles. This initiative not only promoted sustainability but also fostered a sense of environmental responsibility among participants. Come April, as a new academic session commenced, middle school students found themselves faced with a delightful array of 15 Skill Clubs to choose from. Among these options, the Pottery Club stood out, promising a voyage into the field of artistic expression and tactile learning. Their maiden attempt at the Potter’s wheel proved to be quite an adventure in itself, filled with laughter and camaraderie as they navigated the intricacies of this craft. With each turn and twist of clay, they honed their dexterity and gained a deeper appreciation for the subtle nuances of pottery. They left the studio eagerly anticipating the next chapter in their creative journey.
Spoken sounds used to express one’s ideas got represented initially through visible signs and then through Cuneiform writing by Sumerians in ancient Mesopotamia more than 5000 years ago!Ms. Yachana Villaitrani on 08 May 2024 got the History students of class XI to experience writing on clay tablets and re-live the past times in a fun-filled activity.The History buffs, surprised each other by writing “messages of appreciation” using a self created Cuneiform-inspired script in the English language & made each other’s day. The activity was followed up by sharing of experiences and the challenges of writing on soft clay which enabled students to understand the challenges faced by Mesopotamian scribes back in the olden days.
On 10 May 2024 ,in the bustling meeting room of the skill club,What To Do When Doctor Is Not Around, students discussed the paramount importance of first aid. Their discussion highlighted how first aid transcends mere medical knowledge, extending into a realm of compassion and readiness to assist others in distress. They reflected on the empowering feeling of being equipped to handle emergencies confidently. As they exchanged ideas and experiences, the consensus was clear: first aid isn’t just a skill—it’s a mindset that embodies responsibility, empathy, and the potential to make a profound difference in the world.
In celebration of Earth Day 2024, the Green Teens of our school, comprised of students from Classes IX, X, and XI, joined forces with the Egghead Foundation, an organization dedicated to environmental sustainability. Together, they planted herbs and shrubs across our school campus. This collaborative effort aimed not only to enhance the beauty of our surroundings but also to provide a hands-on learning experience. Encouraging a deeper connection with nature and emphasizing the importance of biodiversity, this initiative imparted valuable lessons to our youth. Through teamwork and exploration of the diverse uses of these plants, students not only contributed to a greener campus but also expanded their knowledge and appreciation of the natural world.
The ‘Ru-b-ru’ inter-house competition, which took place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, showcased a unique blend of creativity and intellect as participants engaged in a dynamic interview setup. This event highlighted the exceptional talents in impressions and acting of students from classes IX-XII. Each house was assigned eminent personalities who formed dynamic pairs, with one student acting as the interviewer and the other as the interviewee. These pairs presented captivating interviews on the theme “General Elections: Democratic or Not?” Through these engaging performances, the students effectively captured the essence of real-world elections. The performance required a deep understanding of both the character and the topic, ensuring a captivating and thought-provoking exchange. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the lively and engaging performances.
