Keeping up the TIS tradition of celebrating all festivals and showing students the beauty of diversity and inclusiveness, Christmas was celebrated with a lot of excitement and energy. A short Nativity play featuring Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, the Wise Men, shepherds and Angels brought the age old Christmas story to life for the little ones. Melodious Christmas carols (sung by the school Choir) echoed through the Atrium, bringing the message of joy and goodwill to all. The beautifully decorated Christmas Tree was a unique creation as it was created entirely out of discarded material, particularly empty plastic bottles. The red gold and green decorations all around added to the festive spirit . Little ones from the Primary wing made adorable little Santa Clauses and Angels. The cafeteria too served some special Christmas goodies. This happy start to the Yuletide season created an atmosphere of festivity across the school
Gurupurab, the joyous festival commemorating the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of our school. The school transformed into an excited space filled with the chanting of kirtan and prayers. The celebrations started with the students of Team AWAAM sharing anecdotes from the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with the primary students. A lively Nagar Kirtan procession reverberated through the corridors of the school with students dressed in vibrant traditional attire who walked with pride and devotion singing hymns from Gurbani. After the Nagar Kirtan, everyone gathered for the Langar Prasad which was made and distributed by the students, demonstrating the spirit of devotion and community. Adding to the festive vibes, the students from the primary wing came dressed in colourful traditional attire and exchanged sweets. By fostering such meaningful experiences, the school aims to shape well-rounded individuals who embrace diversity, lead with compassion, and strive to make the world a better place.
