During Science Week (July 14–19), students showcased innovation through STEM challenges. Pranav Garg (XI) won Best Boat Design, while Swadhay Vij (XI) built the fastest boat. In the Rocket Challenge, Raghav Sharma (XI) and Nidhir Bardhan (XI) achieved an impressive 8.24m flight, guided by mentor Siddhant Shibu (XII).
The campus of Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, came alive with colour, music, and pride as students and staff gathered for a dual celebration — the Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025-26 and the nation’s 79th Independence Day on 14 August 2025. The event began with the flag hoisting and National Anthem, followed by the warm welcome of Chief Guest Maj Gen Yash Mor (Retd.), a third-generation Army officer and decorated veteran who continues to inspire youth as a TEDx speaker, author, life coach, and CEO of ‘Save the Himalayas Foundation’. What followed was a vibrant blend of tradition and inspiration — a stirring orchestra, powerful speeches, and a fusion dance inspired by Medha Patkar’s journey. The Achala Nadgir Awards and the honouring of acid attack survivors paid tribute to courage and resilience. A soulful patriotic song then set the tone for the Chief Guest’s address, in which he spoke of the love for books, the value of sports, creative thinking within limits, curiosity, and healthy living. The programme concluded with the Principal’s heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving the audience reflective, proud, and inspired.
Team Awaam from our school proudly represented us in Swatantra Manch: Desh Ke Naam at the Prime Minister’s Museum, staging a powerful play on Bhagat Singh’s life. Competing among ten selected schools, our talented team of fifteen members from Classes VIII–XII delivered a remarkable performance, securing the Second Position and bringing glory to the school.
The school organised a session on Future of Work for students of Classes XI and XII on 06 August 2025. Led by Ms Aadya Aggarwal, Founder of The Well-Being Collective India, the session explored emerging career trends shaped by technology, global shifts, and emotional intelligence. Students learnt about diverse professional fields, including ethical AI, wellness, and social entrepreneurship. Practical advice on skill development, adaptability, and continuous learning encouraged students to align their strengths with evolving opportunities. The interactive discussion left students motivated to explore career options beyond conventional paths.
The school organised an immersive heritage walk titled ‘Story Tellers’ for students of Class VII on 8 August, 2025 at the Mehrauli Archaeological Park. Spanning over 200 acres, the park revealed more than a thousand years of Delhi’s history. Students explored magnificent tombs, ancient gateways and historic stepwells while learning about the Delhi Sultanate, Mughal craftsmanship, and British-era influences. Each monument came alive through engaging narratives, enriching their understanding of the past. The walk concluded with students carrying a renewed sense of pride and commitment towards preserving India’s cultural heritage.
On Sanskrit Diwas, celebrated during ‘Sanskrit Saptaah’, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, marked the occasion with a spirited closure event on 12 August. Students from Grades 6–10 presented role plays, songs, character portrayals, and shloka recitations. Hosted by Grade 10, the programme reflected dedication, teamwork, and reverence for the ancient language.
The school organised a Mock Lok Sabha session on 12 August ,2025 for students of Classes XI and XII Humanities, centred on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) bill. The simulation offered a practical understanding of parliamentary proceedings while encouraging analytical thinking, eloquent expression and collaborative leadership. Students explored the diverse perspectives and intricacies surrounding the UCC, gaining insights into the balance between legal uniformity and cultural diversity. The engaging exercise reinforced the significance of respectful discussion, inclusivity and informed decision-making in shaping the nation’s legislative framework.
The Social Science Department commemorated the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings with a series of activities designed to promote peace and awareness. Class IX students presented a talk on conflict resolution, while a group song and a ribbon dance by junior and middle school students echoed the spirit of harmony. Col Anant Gupta from the Mission Olympic Wing DCOAS (IS&C), IHQ of MoD (Army), addressed Classes VIII and IX, offering real-life insights into war, comradeship and national service. The event encouraged students to reflect deeply on history and the importance of lasting peace.
The students of Class VI visited the National Museum in New Delhi on 7 and 8 August, 2025 for an enriching educational experience. Divided into groups, they explored galleries on the Harappan Civilization, inscriptions, ancient coins, royal dynasties and Buddhist and Jain heritage. Knowledgeable guides explained the significance of each section, offering meaningful insights into India’s cultural and historical journey. The visit concluded with a documentary that connected the exhibits to broader historical themes. The experience inspired curiosity, broadened perspectives and encouraged appreciation for the nation’s diverse heritage beyond classroom learning.
Our students of Class VII, Bhuvika Seth and Saanvi Priya, participated in the Eco Meet hosted by Sadhu Vaswani School on 31 July 2025. They presented a meaningful and impactful model titled ‘From Waste to Wake-Up Call’,under the theme Strategies to Control Climate Change.Their efforts were acknowledged with a Certificate of Appreciation for their thoughtful contribution to environmental awareness. As part of the event, the students also participated in a tree plantation drive, reinforcing their dedication to sustainability and their active role as young environmental stewards.
