Orientation for Classes X and XII: Preparing for Academic Success

An orientation session for Classes X and XII was held on 22 March 2025 to guide parents and students through this pivotal academic phase. The Principal, Ms. Jyotika Jakhar, introduced the school management and faculty while emphasizing discipline, punctuality, and expected conduct. Ms. N. Saroj, Dean of Academics, detailed the examination pattern, promotion policy, planner, and the option of a sixth subject. Useful websites such as www.cbse.nic.in, www.cbseacademic.in, and www.tagoreint.com were shared for reference. The session equipped students with essential knowledge and confidence for the year ahead.

Exploring the Cosmos: Astronomy Workshop for Classes I to V

Students of Classes I to V embarked on an exciting journey through space during a fascinating astronomy workshop. They observed Jupiter through a telescope and marvelled at the craters on the Moon’s surface, sparking their curiosity about the cosmos. The session explored the changing phases of the Moon, highlighting the Sun’s role in its illumination. To reinforce their understanding, students placed red dots on a chart to identify different lunar phases,  making learning interactive and engaging. This hands-on experience not only deepened their knowledge of lunar cycles and planetary observations but also ignited their passion for astronomy, making the session a truly stellar experience!

Expressions 2025: A Magical Showcase by Nursery & KG

The Annual Day of Nursery and KG, Expressions 2025, was a spectacular celebration held on Sunday, 9 March 2025. Excitement filled the air as our little stars enchanted the audience with their colourful costumes, lively performances, and infectious energy. Nursery students set the tone with a cheerful Welcome Dance, followed by engaging plays like Animal Parade and The Fairy Tale Mix-up. Their energetic Animal Dance and Konkani Dance won hearts, while the Finale Dance received thunderous applause. KG students captivated all with A Year in KG and their modern take on Aladdin 2.0. A vibrant Rap Performance and a dazzling Grand Finale showcased their confidence and creativity. The event was a grand success, celebrating the talent and teamwork of our young learners.  Rewind 2025: Reconnect, Reminisce, Relive

Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, hosted ‘Rewind’, the alumni reunion on 1 March 2025, bringing together an exciting mix of students from different batches. Around 40 alumni attended, reliving cherished memories and reconnecting with old friends. The event was filled with nostalgia, laughter, and games that transported them back to their fun-filled school days. The venue buzzed with energy as long-lost batch mates rekindled friendships and formed new bonds. Stories were shared, laughter echoed, and a strong sense of belonging filled the air. ‘Rewind’ truly proved that school memories last a lifetime.

Stories can inspire kindness and courage

Students of Classes IV and V explored the idea of how stories can inspire kindness and courage during a virtual author talk session with Oklahoma-based authors Preston Walls and Amy M. Le, the mother-son duo behind Bus Stop Buddies – The Showdown. Towards this session, students participated in pre-reading activities such as predicting the story from the book cover and sharing personal anecdotes on the theme of ‘hurt and heal.’ These activities sparked curiosity and encouraged thoughtful reflections. During the session, the authors shared their writing journey, offering valuable insights and tips for budding writers. Students actively engaged with insightful questions, making the discussion lively and meaningful. The learning continued beyond the session with post-reading activities, where students designed anti-bullying posters and contributed to a pledge wall, reinforcing the book’s message of empathy and resilience. This enriching experience not only deepened the students’ love for literature but also empowered them with important life lessons, leaving them eager for more literary adventures.

Empowering Educators: A United Stand Against Child Abuse

On 7 February 2025, The Missing Links Organization hosted a pivotal panel discussion and round table conference at The Grand Hotel, New Delhi, focusing on preventing child abuse and trafficking. The event included government officials, NGOs, legal experts, social workers, academics, and student representatives, including our student Sonakshi Sharma of Class XI. Discussions emphasised the 4C’s Framework: Children, Caregivers, Community, and Child Protection Ecosystem Stakeholders. The panel highlighted the essential role of educators as the first line of defence in child protection, stressing the importance of training teachers to respond sensitively to disclosures. The increasing risks children face online were also addressed, with a call for enhanced digital literacy. Sonakshi shared her experiences with online safety challenges, advocating for student-led initiatives to foster a supportive school environment. The conference underscored the need for multi-sectoral partnerships to create safer spaces for children.

Honouring Young Achievers: Junior School Prize Distribution Ceremony

The Junior School Prize Distribution Ceremony for Classes Nursery to V was a grand celebration of student excellence across various fields. The event recognised winners of intra-class competitions, applauding their talent and dedication. Special awards for full attendance highlighted the commitment of students, while the Teachers’ Awards acknowledged the relentless efforts of educators in shaping young minds. The Sunshine Awards honoured compassionate volunteers who assisted visually impaired students, fostering inclusivity and kindness. Sports awards celebrated outstanding athletic performances, encouraging teamwork and physical fitness. Enthralling dance and music performances brought beauty and joy to the event.   It was an inspiring ceremony, filled with pride and motivation, encouraging all students to strive for excellence. Empowering Young Innovators: Computer Prowess 2025

Computer Prowess 2025, an exhilarating intra-class competition was organized recently for students of Classes I to V.  Each class took on unique digital challenges linked to global sustainability themes, showcasing remarkable talent and innovation and seamlessly blending technology with creativity. From digital art to coding and multimedia storytelling, students demonstrated their skills with enthusiasm. Class I and II illustrated “Our Future Planet” (SDG 11) through MS Paint and Paint 3D, while Class III coded interactive Scratch 3.0 games on “Life on Land” (SDG 3). Class IV created compelling PowerPoint presentations on “Building a Greener Planet” (SDG 11), and Class V designed impactful Canva videos on “Responsible Consumption and Production” (SDG 12). More than a competition, Computer Prowess 2025 was a celebration of critical thinking, digital fluency, and our students’ commitment to a better future. Sanchayan 2025: A Vibrant Celebration of North Eastern Heritage

On 7 and 8 January 2025, ‘Sanchayan’, the annual creative and performing arts festival of the Primary Wing,  showcased the rich cultural tapestry of North Eastern India. Energetic performers from Classes I to V captivated audiences with plays such as “Eclipse in Bamboo Stem”, “The Boastful Jackal”, “The Tale of the Hornbill and the Naga Warrior”, “Tashi – A Tale of Two Brothers”, and “Tejimola – The Skylark Girl”. These performances, interwoven with Indian and Western songs, poems, and dances, received resounding applause. Students also displayed their clay modelling creations, highlighting their creativity and craftsmanship. An indigenous gaming zone featured attractions like “Glitch Garden”, “Google Teachable Machine”, and “Catch the Apple”, with “Match the Character” being a crowd favourite. Illuminating Minds: Grade VII Explores the Wonders of Light

An engaging workshop on optics by Ms. Pragya Nopany was organized for  Class VII students on 6 February 2025. The session provided hands-on experience with optical concepts such as reflection, refraction, transparency, and total internal reflection, using everyday materials. This practical approach enhanced students’ understanding of light behaviour through observation and experimentation. The workshop was well-received, with students actively participating and finding the experiments both insightful and enjoyable.
