Capturing Creativity: Sarv Sahodaya Art & Photography Exhibition 2023

The Sarv Sahodaya Art & Photography Exhibition unfolded on Thursday, 23 November and Friday, 24 November 2023, at Sadhu Vaswani International School for Girls.

In the domain of painting, students were immersed in a themed exploration. They were tasked with creating a visual interpretation of “Kabir ke Dohey” by incorporating the given folk arts.

Our students, Pragya Khanna and Niharika Thakur of grade XI  engaged in the intricate process of depicting Kabir’s verses, namely; “कबीर सो धन संचिए जो आगेकंूहोइ” and “मरखू संग न कीजिए, लोहा जल न तिराई”; using Warli Art from Maharashtra. The ensuing process not only enhanced their artistic skills but also provided a unique lens through which to comprehend profound philosophical concepts.

In the photography segment, the theme “Expressions to Impressions” encapsulated the journey from capturing raw emotions to creating lasting impressions. Lavnika Nanda of grade X submitted the photograph titled ‘Ballet of Souls’ and Atharva Chauhan captured ‘Radiant Transformations’. The students delved into the world of visual storytelling, using their lenses to convey the nuanced transitions from initial expressions to enduring imprints.

Beyond mastering artistic techniques, they gained a deeper understanding of cultural expressions and the ability to seamlessly intertwine art with literature.

We celebrate the students’ accomplishments and the dedication of educators who embraced this initiative. The integration of art into our curriculum not only fostered creativity but also underscored the importance of interdisciplinary learning, laying the foundation for a well-rounded and dynamic educational environment.
