Flawless Flaws Offline Workshop

Flawless Flaws conducted their first offline workshop after the pandemic on 30 July 2022. They were joined by new campaigners and acid attack survivors for this workshop where a parent volunteer, Ms Rupa Chaudhary was invited as a guest speaker to conduct the workshop on “Skill Empowerment”. Ms. Rupa owns a boutique and works worldwide to market her fashion collection. She taught the survivors about nuances of fashion and creation and how they can make a respectable living out of this profession.  She has also welcomed survivors who want to join her work in Delhi as employees. There were 7 survivors who attended this workshop offline at our school while 6 joined online from outside Delhi. After the campaign heads welcomed all guests, the survivors then shared their experiences and the various job fields that they are interested in. The students gave a presentation on developing “self-esteem and confidence” followed by an engaging activity.

The presentation was interactive as it also had some informational videos. The main aim of this 2.5 hour long workshop was to improve skills and create job opportunities for survivors so that they are emotionally and financially independent. The workshop ended with tea, snacks and learning.
