The arrival of the birthday of Lord Krishna also called Janmashtami signifies unity and faith. It is celebrated with great fervor and excitement.
This day is observed on the Ashtami tithi, the eighth day of the dark half or Krishna Paksha of the month of Shraavana. Lord Krishna is known worldwide and celebrated as an avatar of God Vishnu.
