Beginning with these moving lines by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, the school celebrated India’s 77th Independence Day with both fanfare and solemnity.
Beginning with the hoisting of our Tricolour by the Chief Guest Col Abdul Hameed Khan (a distinguished Officer of the Indian Army ) and the National Anthem, the programme segued into a short speech on the significance of this day when we honour the memory of the countless martyrs who sacrificed their lives to ensure that we could lead a life free of oppression and the rousing strains of Ma Tujhe Salaam by the School Choir. The solemn Investiture Ceremony and the patriotic vibes evokes by Fusion , the inter House music and dance event enhanced the sense of pride in our nation.
